Our native mock-orange has been a prized ornamental in Europe since 1825. It is best known for its fragrant, large, snow white blooms which occur in late June to early July. This medium to large sized, multi-stemmed shrub takes full sun or part shade. Fruit is eaten by birds. The hard wood has been used by the Indians. Flower and leaves lather for cleaning.
