A widely used ornamental conifer, with pyramidal growth. Native to a small region along the southern coast of Oregon. It’s light-colored wood is highly prized, such that there are few old growth specimens left. It grows to from 125 to 185 feet. It does best in drier soils, because of its susceptibility to Phytophthora root rot.
