About the Englemann Spruce
A tall, narrow conifer with blue-green needles. It is more common in the Rocky Mountains, but also is found in the subalpine regions of the Cascade and Olympic Mountains. It is somewhat shade tolerant, but is best in sun on well drained sites. It is sometimes used as a Christmas tree.
