About the Red or Pacific Willow
Pacific willow, Salix lucida ssp. lasiandra. is one of our larger willow trees; also known as Shining, Yellow, or Red Willow. It is easy to identify with its lance-shaped leaves. Twigs are often a bright yellow, which makes it very noticeable in large swales. It is a good soil stabilizer along streams and lakes.
