About the Scouler's Willow
Scouler’s Willow is also known as Upland Willow, due to its ability to thrive in drier habitats. It is a rapidly growing large shrub or small tree growing to 30 ft. Good winter browse for deer and moose. Light grey bark. Often crosses with other willows making it harder to identify in the wild. It is great for erosion-control. Be careful to keep it from septic or drain lines since the roots can be invasive.
