About the Sitka Willow
Small tree or shrub growing to 24 ft. It has attractive “pussies” that can be forced for flower arrangements. Likes moist areas. In the willow family so it has roots which need to be kept away from septic systems. It can be distinguished from other willows by leaves that are somewhat crinkly and fuzzy or shiny underneath. Also great for erosion control.
