About the Bog Cranberry
Bog Cranberry, Vaccinium (Oxycoccus) oxycoccus, grows on tussocks of moss in bogs. It has very slender creeping vines with small evergreen leaves. Flowers are deep pink with petals sharply bent backward and stamens protruding, like shooting stars. The fruits are edible Pale-pink to dark red berries. They are best when cooked.
